_ This place has a way of making you feel like you not even alive or living , just an empty soul with no purpose or meaning . My daydream breaks when I feel something touch my slipper which rests against the leg of the chair . I look down and see a piece of paper but I cant see what is drawn onto it , so I reach down and hold it in both hands . Its a sketch of dead people , lifeless laying on a road but the people behind them are different , their bodies bloody, shredded and mutated . Bones piercing through torn flesh as blood oozes down bruised ligaments , the way the bodies are drawn is inhumane and truly terrifying . There are words written at the top in bold pencil displayed above the mutated people who walk on the page , 'when there is no more room in hell , the dead will walk the earth ' . After reading that and the image being stuck in my head I get off my seat and walk over to the who was sat at the table , staring at me as she's the one who dropped the paper . I place the paper on the desk , purposely not looking at her as I know she is still staring at me . Just as im about to turn and walk away I feel cold fingers grip tightly around my wrist . 'We're too late ' I shake my head in confusion whilst trying to pry my arm away from her but she just starts shouting what she whispered to me a minute ago . 'WE'RE TOO LATE'_

isolation

this story is about a scientist in Antarctica slowly losing his sanity I can feel the corners of my lips tug upwards and before I know it, I'm cackling. My laughter rings through the empty room, bouncing off the walls as I double over in hysterics. Despite the dire situation, I can't seem to stop. With each passing second, my giggles become more uncontrollable, more manic. As I catch my breath, I try to reassure myself. "Everything will be fine," I tell myself, punctuating my sentence with another bout of laughter. "Because, because!" I repeat, and my voice breaks into another round of giggles. But soon, my mirth turns to misery as my laughter becomes sobs. I collapse on my hands and knees, tears streaming down my face until they blur my vision. The tears burn my skin, adding to my anguish. I can't even cry in peace, can't even surrender to my despair without feeling physical pain. "Oh god, I ruin everything Johnny- I'm sorry!" I cry out, my voice cracking. "I'm supposed to keep care of you and I'm sorry! I'm so sorry Johnny!" I scream, pounding my fists on the cold, hard floor in frustration. It's no use. Nothing can save me. I feel my tears freezing on my face and I quickly dry them with the back of my hand. I crawl over to the fire, seeking warmth and comfort. But there's no comfort to be found.
