Everyone is afraid of them, except for the Star Sanses. Eventually, one of the star sanses, Ink, is able to befriend one of the bad guys, Error. When Ink is exploring the au's, he stumbles upon a new au where he meets a new friend named Nightmare. The both of them create a close bond, and Nightmare explains how the villagers mistreats him and how they treasure Dream. Ink knew Dream for awhile, but Dream never mentions Nightmare.
