The year is 3033. We live in a post-apocalyptic world. All the major cities were bombed during the Great War of the 30th century. All except one. Sydney, Australia. Australia had been saved from the devastation, yet being the only continent with life, it's... evolved.

The ground is alive, breathing, watching. It speaks to those who listen. The grass dances to forgotten songs of the past, while the forest is strong and wise. The ancient trees remember things from a thousand years ago, whispers of a peaceful society that had spread worldwide.

Humans do not exist. With their death came the birth of a new race, an almost invincible breed of living war machines. These are the Katü, a race of superior intelligence, agility, and strength. In time, the Earth had brought forth another race to combat the destruction the Katü brought.

They were the Kataii, a race equal in defense to the Katü in strength and power. Yet one day... Something odd occurred, something that brought controversy to the continent of Australia. A Katü had been born amongst the Kataii. But how?

The nymphs spoke of a prophecy:

"That which we've earned much hate
Must learn to assimilate.
None will know to oppose
Lest the charred earth grows."

March 17, 2023.. The day of reckoning that has fallen into this world, whoever created this event surely wants our existence to cease.. I dont know who they are, I don't know what they are, they're creatures that look like humans. But they tamed steel itself forging iron warships that radiates fear and destruction, war machines unlike any other. Just.. who are they? Are they even human.. I cant explain what sort of atrocities have i seen, men die gruesomely, more violent than any war i have ever witnessed. Gore flies out of the mangled corpses of the fallen, and yet despite all dead the destruction still reigns, its horrifying to say the least.. i fear that whoever awakened this sleeping giant.. has filled it.. with terrible.. terrible.. resolve.. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. Those who agreed to take on the mysterious Archons within their bodies and, through that contract, had ancient relics and rituals passed down to them.
