Katey Higgins is a senior in high school, but she fits in better as a senior citizens. Working at the Acorn Oak House, a retirement facility for elderly who are battling cancer, Katey is living her life just how she wants it to be. She is on the school's baseball team, she gets decent grades, has total freedom, and has the best job ever. But when he abusive ex-boyfriend is back in town, and dating her new best friend, Katey begins to fall apart, and finds herself rekindling a friendship she held dear to her heart in more ways than one.
I don't know what else to say because I don't exactly know where I am going to take the story.
DISCLAIMER: there will be alot of references to cancer, and the treatments and sideffects that are associated with the disease. Cancer has had a huge impact on my life, and I have written some of my personal experiences down in here, so some may find them very emotional.

Daniel, however, really couldn't care less about a career in football, he loves the game, but it's his dad's dream for him to go pro, not his own. At least not anymore. He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years.
