Katey Higgins is a senior in high school, but she fits in better as a senior citizens. Working at the Acorn Oak House, a retirement facility for elderly who are battling cancer, Katey is living her life just how she wants it to be. She is on the school's baseball team, she gets decent grades, has total freedom, and has the best job ever. But when he abusive ex-boyfriend is back in town, and dating her new best friend, Katey begins to fall apart, and finds herself rekindling a friendship she held dear to her heart in more ways than one.
I don't know what else to say because I don't exactly know where I am going to take the story.
DISCLAIMER: there will be alot of references to cancer, and the treatments and sideffects that are associated with the disease. Cancer has had a huge impact on my life, and I have written some of my personal experiences down in here, so some may find them very emotional.
