For my English GCSE, I had to write a story based on a poem that was in the anthology we were given. I chose to base mine on the poem 'Brendon Gallacher' by Jackie Kay and this is the story I came up with. It's short because it had to be for the assessment, however, I hope you enjoy it all the same.
This girl has had the same best friend all of her life and this is (in a rather condensed way) what happens as they get older.
Warning: it may sound good but it is very short so I couldn't write everything I wanted to.
Also, this is copyrighted and does actually belong to me so if any GCSE people find this and think I copy and pasted everything, that's not true. I put it up here after the exam and I wrote it all!

NOTE;;((previously called Never Thought That This Would Happen)) Two young best friends have left their parents nests and are now out in the world by themselves. Maria, a twenty two year old College graduate makes a living out of being a Psychologist. Things seem to be going well for her until she meet Samuel. But Samuel is her client and as she gets to know him she soon realized why he seems so familiar to her. He reminds her of her ex boyfriend, Michael. Things change for Maria as time passes. She will have to go through heart break and stress. Things will change and someone will end up getting hurt. At the same time, Maria's best friend, Victoria is twenty four and left school at eighteen. She's going from job to job. Pretty much the same way she is with men. She can never settle down. Until she realized that she has fallen for someone she never expected to fall for.Concluída

--So much on this earth is a miracle. But we fail to see them -- Two friends. One ceremony. One terrible accident. When Jade ended up with something life changing, she thought everything was over for her. And maybe it was. Someone can light a small flame of hope in everyone of us. *R-RATED *This will be a mature romance with adult themes including language, sex and general themes* When Steph goes on her best friend's hen night she meet's the groom's best man, Jon and while she finds him attractive she also finds him offensive, rude and judgemental. When he offers to escort her home at the end of the night she is only expecting a lift home or a shared cab, no more. The following morning she wakes in a strange bed unable to remember how she got there or what she might of done. She is further startled to find it's Jon's bed and unfortunately he is just as judgemental as she remembered. After exchanging angry words Steph refocuses on work and her friend's wedding assuming after their marriage she won't ever have to see Jon again. With revelations about his marital status revealed Steph becomes even more determined to avoid him, but Jon has different plans for them both after they each begin to see each other in a different light at the wedding and serendipity, well that has its own plan. I began this story in the summer of 2013; I don't remember what my inspiration for this story was, but I can remember shopping around ideas with friends of mine and then I thought of this, and they all thought it was a dark, and very sad idea. So, years later, I've decided to release it in its unabridged, unedited, copied straight from the file entirety, as one big thing. This is also the only instance where I wrote about a hetero couple. The Broken Pieces Left Behind
Becca Adams has a plan:- 1) Survive Senior Year with as little drama as possible - so far that was working 2) Ensure that her mother remains alive 3) Graduate When her father died three years ago, Becca was forced to grow up, quickly. Her mother had a nervous breakdown and now acts like she's the teenager. But other than having to take care of her adult mother her life was going just as she had planned. She craved the stability and control that her planning gave her. So much of her life she felt like she had no control over things so she left nothing to chance. So what happens when a stupid school assignment puts her in close proximity with Jack O'Connor one of the hottest guys at her school? Becca knows Jack, he's a playboy. And she knows this because she lives in the same apartment building she does and sees the bevy of girls he parades around. Nothing good can come from this and she is determined to keep her distance from a boy who may just break her into un-fixable pieces this time.
