For my English GCSE, I had to write a story based on a poem that was in the anthology we were given. I chose to base mine on the poem 'Brendon Gallacher' by Jackie Kay and this is the story I came up with. It's short because it had to be for the assessment, however, I hope you enjoy it all the same.
This girl has had the same best friend all of her life and this is (in a rather condensed way) what happens as they get older.
Warning: it may sound good but it is very short so I couldn't write everything I wanted to.
Also, this is copyrighted and does actually belong to me so if any GCSE people find this and think I copy and pasted everything, that's not true. I put it up here after the exam and I wrote it all!

But Samuel is her client and as she gets to know him she soon realized why he seems so familiar to her. He reminds her of her ex boyfriend, Michael. Things change for Maria as time passes. She will have to go through heart break and stress. Things will change and someone will end up getting hurt. At the same time, Maria's best friend, Victoria is twenty four and left school at eighteen. She's going from job to job. Pretty much the same way she is with men. She can never settle down. Until she realized that she has fallen for someone she never expected to fall for.Complete

Serena had a rough life and after going to college she meets her best friend Elaine, with only a couple months left of college she meets her best friends dad and she didn't expect him to be a hot man who wants to be paid in sex. She was over the guys her age so trying to comprehend the fact her best friend wants her to be happy with her dad she just feels it's all a dream. Ken has been single for a long time still hasn't gotten over the fact the mother of his child left him for her boss, he just wanted to go see his daughter at college something he didn't do much but this time around it didn't disappoint when he gets to meet his daughters roommate and fixes her sink then got to have sex with a young women. With the approval of his daughter he wants to give the girl the world.Complete
Miracle -COMPLETED
--So much on this earth is a miracle. But we fail to see them -- Two friends. One ceremony. One terrible accident. When Jade ended up with something life changing, she thought everything was over for her. And maybe it was. Someone can light a small flame of hope in everyone of us. I began this story in the summer of 2013; I don't remember what my inspiration for this story was, but I can remember shopping around ideas with friends of mine and then I thought of this, and they all thought it was a dark, and very sad idea. So, years later, I've decided to release it in its unabridged, unedited, copied straight from the file entirety, as one big thing. This is also the only instance where I wrote about a hetero couple.
