For my English GCSE, I had to write a story based on a poem that was in the anthology we were given. I chose to base mine on the poem 'Brendon Gallacher' by Jackie Kay and this is the story I came up with. It's short because it had to be for the assessment, however, I hope you enjoy it all the same. This girl has had the same best friend all of her life and this is (in a rather condensed way) what happens as they get older. Warning: it may sound good but it is very short so I couldn't write everything I wanted to. Also, this is copyrighted and does actually belong to me so if any GCSE people find this and think I copy and pasted everything, that's not true. I put it up here after the exam and I wrote it all!
