When the downtrodden animals of Manor Farm overthrow their master Mr Jones and take over the farm themselves, they imagine it is the beginning of a life of freedom and equality. But gradually a cunning, ruthless élite among them, masterminded by the pigs Napoleon and Snowball, starts to take control. Soon the other animals discover that they are not all as equal as they thought, and find themselves hopelessly ensnared as one form of tyranny is replaced with another.

'It is the history of a revolution that went wrong - and of the excellent excuses that were forthcoming at every step for the perversion of the original doctrine,' wrote Orwell for the first edition of Animal Farm in 1945. Orwell wrote the novel at the end of 1943, but it almost remained unpublished; its savage attack on Stalin, at that time Britain's ally, led to the book being refused by publisher after publisher. DISCLAIMER: This story is unique in that it is not something I wrote for myself or to write any sort of genius plot. I wasn't trying to write 'a good story.' I wasn't even writing to entertain you lot. The whole purpose of this book was to get my friend back into writing so she could have a way to escape the hell which was her abusive marriage and having a baby with A LOT of medical needs. That's why we follow the original plot of the manga in the beginning--because having an 'outline' of sorts of what to write helped eased her back in. Once she got comfortable with writing again the plot shoots off into several directions. It's a story not to be literary amazing or even entertaining to anyone reading. It's just me trying to help my friend who was suffering.

Animal Farm is a beast fable, in form of satirical allegorical novella, by George Orwell, first published in England on 17 August 1945. It tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, the rebellion is betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon. According to Orwell, Animal Farm reflects events leading up to the Russian Revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union.
