Life was just a huge nightmare for Ife and things just seemed to go from bad to worse for her. She never caught a break. She didn't think she did anything to deserve such a life but then again, even if she didn't know what it was, God knows all.

The quickest escape would have been suicide. But suicide wasn't the bravest. It was cowardly. But she didn't even have the courage to try.

When she gets a chance to meet the Angel of Death as she'd been wishing, it doesn't quite go as planned.

But that's ok. Because things do not always work out how we want them to.

I created a challenge for myself, or a proposal where you send me a word or a phrase or a sentence. I wanted to challenge myself to write a short story out of whatever word, phrase or sentence you sent me.

This is the outcome of that challenge. 🙃

Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes. Finding real comfort starts to feel impossible, as her most available options are her ex-boyfriend and her assistant. Completed! Rejected 6 times** "This one just isn't for us." By far the most plain rejection I have ever received and I can respect it. 1/22/2022 - 1K 9/28/2022 - 10K

Dev, he saw the same dream every night, the same beautiful curly haired girl, looking at him with those pleading pair of eyes, but he could do nothing to save her from drowning. He tried to avoid this weird attraction towards an imaginary girl, tried to fight the growing pain inside him but what did he do when the girl from his dreams came into his life like a gust of wind? He settled to his instincts. Instincts that made him borderline obsessive. Rik, he learned to control the pain, the dream didn't bother him anymore the way it bothered his twin brother, at least that's what he told himself, that the suffocations are normal, that not finding peace at anything was normal, that painting the picture of her and keeping them secret was normal. He hated her for disturbing his peace of mind, until the day he saw her from the very front. And then he knew he will do anything to have her in his life. Teressa, being ignorant to everything, dived into a world that took her back to the darkest part of her life. A life that kept following her from the past, along with the twin brothers. The more she learnt the more pain she felt it. The growing emotion, that led her towards the truth. A curse that knew no bounds, started pulling them together without their knowledge. _________________________________________ UNDER MAJOR EDITING. ● PLEASE NOTE : The pictures/videos or songs, none of these belong to me. Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.
