Jake is an alien,  hiding away from society due to having a facial disfigurement. He hides himself to protect himself from the humans and their unaccepting ways. 
He moves into a new apartment and is doing very well at staying under the radar until the fire alarm goes one night and he is forced to evacuate. On the way back into his apartment, he has a brief encounter with his neighbour. Little does his know that this encounter will change his life for the better.
