Everything dies in the apocalypse. Eventually anyway. So is falling in love even worth it?

I got luckier than most. I found my old family and even created a new one. Every person with different backgrounds could trust each other and become family and yet... and yet no matter how much time I spend with them, I don't feel as though I belong. 

They'll all die anyway. Eventually. We will all... be... gone....

"Chloe." I jolt, breaking out of my trance. "Yea, sorry, what's up?" I ask Daryl, my mouth morphing into a smile. "Are you okay?" He asks me, searching my eyes. I nod my head. "Yeah, sorry. I'm fine" I shrug sheepishly.

He nods slowly. "Well, you can always talk to me. I'll always be here. Because you're worth it. Always." He pulls me into his arms and I hug him gingerly. Worth it... right. I swallow hard, trying not to feel guilty about the fact that I don't want to be here, that I can't be here anymore.

Shane told them that Rick was dead, and he came to get them to safety, but Chloe didn't want to believe him. Shane had to physically stop Chloe from getting back in their car and driving to the hospital. The only thing that truly stopped her though was the look on her little brother's face, he needed her now more than ever. They never made it to Atlanta though and now Chloe has to navigate a world where the dead walk.
