THE WALKING DEAD Everything dies in the apocalypse. Eventually anyway. So is falling in love even worth it? I got luckier than most. I found my old family and even created a new one. Every person with different backgrounds could trust each other and become family and yet... and yet no matter how much time I spend with them, I don't feel as though I belong. They'll all die anyway. Eventually. We will all... be... gone.... "Chloe." I jolt, breaking out of my trance. "Yea, sorry, what's up?" I ask Daryl, my mouth morphing into a smile. "Are you okay?" He asks me, searching my eyes. I nod my head. "Yeah, sorry. I'm fine" I shrug sheepishly. He nods slowly. "Well, you can always talk to me. I'll always be here. Because you're worth it. Always." He pulls me into his arms and I hug him gingerly. Worth it... right. I swallow hard, trying not to feel guilty about the fact that I don't want to be here, that I can't be here anymore. "𝔖𝔦𝔩𝔢𝔫𝔠𝔢 𝔦𝔰 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔰𝔩𝔢𝔢𝔭 𝔱𝔥𝔞𝔱 𝔫𝔬𝔲𝔯𝔦𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔰 𝔴𝔦𝔰𝔡𝔬𝔪." -𝕱𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖎𝖘 𝕭𝖆𝖈𝖔𝖓 Speech isn't a necessity in this empty world. It's not that I can't speak. I just choose not to. It's a waste of time. I have no need to communicate with others. Especially when everyone is pretty much already dead. I haven't spoken a word in almost two years. There's no need for conversation when the words that are spoken constantly go unheard. [COMPLETED] #1 in darylxreader (10/24/19) #1 in daryldixonxreader (11/17/19)
