Sefira "Seffie" Demos is an Amazon. Not the kind of Amazon that lived in the Ancient world and cut off the right breast, but a descendant of those women. Her tribe lives in an apartment building in England - the last place you'd expect to find a group of warrior women.
Other than their living conditions, there isn't much change to their lifestyle. Men are inferior, and nothing is more vital than training.
But things are about to change for Seffie, when the leader decides that more integration is necessary. Along with her cousin Damia, Seffie must attend regular school. Learning school curriculum would be tough for any homeschool girl, but for an Amazon, it's challenging in a whole other way. Not only must Seffie learn to treat men as her equal, but she must stay loyal to her tribe. With her mother's behaviour becoming increasingly suspicious, and her aunt spreading doubt about this new integration among the tribe, Seffie must decide her own future, to defy tradition or define it.
