Once those words left my mouth, I knew what was coming next. Pain. Kayden grabs me by the throat and lifts me a foot off the ground. His claws puncture my skin and my blood trickles down his arm. He glares at me with his glowing, red eyes. He brings his mouth to my ear and whispers, "You do now." ~~~~~~~~ Tara smith lived with her very small pack that bordered the most fierce, bloodthirsty pack call the Blood Moon pack. Hello Humans (and Others), Changelings are rare creatures. Beautiful, mysterious, deadly, and a lot of other cool descriptive words that I just don't have the time to think of right now. If you don't know what a changeling is, then look it up. Or don't, it doesn't really matter to me. The descriptions in old Irish folklore aren't really true, anyway. (The Irish drink a lot, so I've heard. My best advice is to take their stories with a grain of salt). I know precisely what a changeling is, because I am one. Yes, I am a changeling, not a wolf. I am not a wolf shifter even though that is who I live with... now. Alive. Remember that. It's a long story, but so worth it. Because it's about me; the beautiful, mysterious, deadly... 17. That's how old I am today. It's about time too. I was getting sick of being 16. I hear a low rumble being emitted from my chest. I run towards the woods before the change takes over my body. As soon as I get to the woods near the lake I have come to know and love, ducks are floating in the middle looking for something to eat. I seriously felt like dying. The pain of every first change is unbearable. Thankfully it all soon stops and I am standing on all fours. I walk towards the lake noticing that the ducks that used to be there were long gone. I must have scared them. This book was written a while back ago when I was younger and did not understand proper English grammar. It is not the best written book out there but I hope that does not discourage you from reading the book. Although it is not the best, it does have a somewhat decent, yet a little cliche, storyline.
