A Withered Tree Meets Spring [ON HOLD]

Chen Xiaoyu has been mistreated by her stepfather, who took advantage of her mother's submissive nature. Her father was an orphan, and Xiaoyu feels like she has inherited that same lonely fate. Having experienced neglect from an early age, she learned to fend for herself, relying on her resilience and inner strength. Now, at the age of 28, Xiaoyu has managed to stabilize her life. She is engaged to a man, Xi Ronghua, who is charming but a selfish, philandering businessman. Despite her growing unhappiness, Xiaoyu has learned to endure and compromise in the face of life's hardships. But everything changes when a powerful and enigmatic man enters her life. Zhang Jun, an overseas Chinese billionaire, returns to China with plans to take over the company where Xiaoyu works as the executive manager. Jun, who had been living in the United States for many years, is initially seen as a cold and calculating business magnate, but his connection to Xiaoyu deepens after a chance encounter. On impulse, he proposes marriage, though he never expected to follow through. However, Zhang Jun is not someone who does things without full commitment. As he begins to understand Xiaoyu's complex past and broken heart, he seeks to heal her wounds and show her a love she had never dared to imagine.
