This story follows Katie through the final months of her senior year in high school. Her nonexistent relationship with her mother doesn't stop her from living her life to the fullest. Approaching on four years with her high school sweetheart and applying to the same colleges as her lifetime best friend she is anxiously looking forward to the future to come. She's also excited about becoming an aunt and is counting down the days until her older sister delivers. Her nurturing personality causes her to stop and sit with a boy being bullied in her school. "Dear Crush, I exist... and trust me or not, but no one else in this whole world can love you the way I do..." He fell in love for the first time in his life. Even after being the most popular guy at school, he was afraid to talk to her, not because she was more popular than him, but because she was different, very different from other girls out there.
