Short Stories for the Artistic Mind offers "story chunks" for the busy or the literature-enthusiastic mind looking for intensity, artistry and interesting plot twists. Containing very few words per chapter, this collection has many short stories on a variety of subjects and genres. All written in a sensual, but not necessarily sexual, way, the stories explore the themes of darkness, truth and morality, and what it is to be human in a world reflecting ours.

NOTE: To those of you who may be feeling symptoms of depression: thread lightly and be careful going into this work, as it may not be compatible with what you are feeling. Please, if you are in doubt, retract and take care of yourself. You are important.

I'll also post short stories that I may or may not try turning into novels. From "The Kid is Hot Tonight," a story about such topics as high school parties and domestic abuse. To "Just Another Nightmare," a story about a kind of hell you might never have thought of. This collection will likely make you question if something is wrong with me. Spoiler alert; there is. It will also show you the farthest reaches of the world and the furthest horrors that I can write about. If you want an update on how the next story is coming along, you can ask me however you want. Growing up in sleepy suburban towns have perks, but there's always something terrible bubbling beneath the surface. Story Description: 1. The Husband - Your husband has been acting a little strange lately at night. 2. The Neighbor - Your quiet home life suddenly gets really uncomfortable when you realize your elderly neighbor has been watching you through his window. 3. Public Restroom - You look back at your childhood to figure out where your fear of public restrooms came from. 4. The Screaming Woman (Pt. 1 & 2) - You wake up abruptly to sounds of a woman screaming only to be faced with your worst nightmare. 5. The People Upstairs - Your upstairs neighbors are loud and obnoxious without any regard to you. You become fed up with them until you realize what they've been dealing with. Some of these stories are not for the faint of heart and may contain blood, gore, abuse, and strong language. You've been warned.

These 30 stories compiled in the months of August 2023 - February 2024, made in handwritten yellow pad papers and shared to the world for the first time shows that there are ways we find to connect with others through the stories we tell to one another. Stories dealing with the loss of a loved one, the horrors of reality, about the challenges faced in life, a longing for the person we loved, the laughter shared in-between, the hopes we treasure for tomorrow and beyond and of the little interactions that happen in life. It is through the attachments, love, support, consistency, determination and dreams do we find the will to push through and accomplish what needs to be done that is set out for us to tackle.
