Xerxes De Leon, a 17-year-old high school student, lives a life marked by isolation and misunderstanding. Viewed by those around him as intimidating and unapproachable, he struggles with loneliness and begins to accept the idea that distance from others is all he can expect. His days are quiet, heavy with unanswered questions about how others see him and why he is treated differently.

Everything begins to shift when he meets Alexia Clamentille, a 22-year-old transferee teacher working part-time at his school while pursuing her goal of becoming a full-time educator. Kind, warm, and naturally gentle, Alexia treats everyone equally and without judgment. She also offers extra lessons and tutoring to students who need help, including Xerxes, without hesitation.

Unlike everyone else, Alexia does not fear him. Her consistent kindness and calm presence slowly begin to challenge the walls Xerxes has built around himself. Through their interactions in an ordinary school setting, he starts to experience a change in how he views himself and the world around him.
