Jack Carter lives with his grandmother on the verge of homelessness. So he does what most kids do: he masterminds a bank robbery to near perfection. Instead, he catches the eye of a government sponsored “wet-work” team. Rather than serve time, he joins a coterie of similarly gifted children and finds himself enrolled in an espionage program for brutal spec ops training in Hawaii. When a hit goes sideways, the staff are pinched and tossed into a Russian prison. Jack, a few scary-competent instructors, and the remaining zit-squad Delta Force are all that’s left to stop an extremist organization bent on resetting the world’s energy economy. Oh, and there’s a mole who disbands their program and tries to have them killed. As the story races to its close, Jack and his friends have to save their school, and each other, before time runs out.
