A deadly virus known as ROLV-22 or rolvidavirus that is spread through direct contact (saliva, blood, etc) that has become a worldwide pandemic, causing the infected to go through various stages of psychosis before death. With a death toll of almost 2 million people in the US alone, the country is on lockdown. Juniper Willows is a 17-year old girl who just wanted a normal life: that is..before she knew that not everything is what it seems. During a food run for her little brother and her mother, Juniper gets caught in the middle of an execution being committed by government officials when they deemed the civilians were becoming too rowdy while fuming over the limited supplies in the market. Only a few inches away from death, she gets thrown out of the way by a mysterious and familiar stranger, Roman Parker. She is forced to stay on the run with them, trying to find the safe haven for kids, and stay away from the children's league, a government association who will stop at nothing to get ahold of Genevieve and use her for her powers. And as they get closer to grasping they things they've dreamed of for so long, Genevieve must make a hard decision deciding the future of not only her, but the ones she loves, one that may mean giving up her only chance at a life worth living.
