Two very different paintings with two very different histories. When their paths cross for the first time a tragedy happens. When their paths cross for the second time will the outcome be even more tragic.
Spain 1936 and the battle for Madrid is about to begin. A small but dedicated team of students, artists and intellectuals have volunteered to help safeguard the cities national treasures. The plan to evacuate the artworks of El Prado and its neighbouring museums to the relative safety of Valencia is escalated as Franco's troops near the city from the west.
When his twin sister, Anna, disappears on one of the first trip to Valencia and Lucas, one of the drivers is murdered, Paco, an art student at Madrid University starts to investigate.
Madrid 2018 and the donation of a rare Klimt portrait to the Prado Museum by one of its cities most famous reclusive families triggers of a series of events.
