I sat in my bed, the crisp and frosty air surrounding me. In the middle of the woods, where my family had settled in, we were isolated. There was a town not far from here where we would get our resources and such but something had been bothering me ever since a few weeks ago. No one else seems to hear it, but I do. Every night there is a long, ear-piercing howl that echo's throughout the pine tree's. I got up out of bed and swung my legs over the side, slowly creeping to my window I gazed out, longingly at the forest, wanting to know what had been out there all this time! All of a sudden, I saw a flash of white in the corner of my eye. Moving fastly, I tried to keep my gaze on it. All of a sudden, it stopped. The creature turned and faced me, watching me carefully with every move I did. And then it seemed to have smiled at me. I thought I must be just going mad! It was too big to be a dog or a cat...there was only one thing it could be. A wolf.

Suddenly there was a huge roar. I take a step back covering my ears, my head spins, it is so loud I can't hear myself think. I stand at the mouth of the cave that yawns wide open on the side of a cave. Its big, bigger than a mountain lion bigger than a bear. And I am about to walk into it's cave. But I HAVE to find out what it is. What if there IS a dragon? It will eat me for sure. but I keep going, I just need to make sure it doesn't see me. I walk to this opening as the path split in two edging me across the wall. I will be careful, silent, it will never know I was even here. There is a rocky cliff side and a drop. I look up from my thought and my eyes lock with gleaming golden eyes. I freeze every muscle in my body locks and I can't move. Towering taller than a building stands something I never thought could exist. A dragon. My heart pounded in my ears as my blood ran cold.
