Virgil lives in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has fallen under the arrival of vampires. While everyone else who's still alive panics and runs to find some safety, Virgil doesn't even seem to care and remains out in the open, somedays even wishing to die. But when he runs into some of his friends, who have become vampires themselves, they take him in...that is, until they run into some familiar survivors.

Having learned something about the vampires, Virgil tries to unite the two species. But with the survivor's ignorance and lack of understanding, Virgil fears that he might make things worse.
