The Aurora. An Alterra ship that has two objectives. The main objective is to install a phasgate on the Ariadne Arm. The second objective is to find and, if possible, rescue the Degasi's. But during a gravity slingshot maneuver around Planet 4546B, the ship is struck by an unknown force, resulting in hull failure and leading to a crash. Marooned on an alien planet, Ryley Robinson must gather materials, salvage technology from the Aurora, and travel throughout this planet to find a way off. But, he gets infected with a highly infectious disease called the Kharra. Now he must travel into the depths to try and find a cure before the infection completely takes over. And doing all of that while being stranded on an unknown planet with Leviathan class predators and genetically enhanced creatures, his chance of survival isn't likely.

Wow, I'm actually kind of proud of this intro. This was posted in the Subnautica Amino but I decided to post it here as well. Anyway Subnautica and all the characters/sea creatures don't belong to me, they belong strictly to Unknown Worlds Entertainment. This will contain swearing and violence, so do be aware of that. There is also a plan for a sequel.

"And if I fail?" I asked my handler. "We'll find someone else to replace you. But I don't think you'll fail. I've got several bets that are placed on you winning." I gulped. "Why?" "Everyone loves an underdog. Just don't blow my money. Kill that crew." I swallowed and forced my words out. "Yessir." Without a doubt, 3718's life was miserable. From birth, their entire life was geared towards becoming something to be used for another purpose. They were a part of a game in where they and another Impostor competed to kill off a crew for entertainment. Whoever killed the least amount of crewmates by the end was flatlined. Along with that, there was also the fact that 3718 had to worry about getting ejected and dying that way as well. Try and resist and you got shot. Get caught and you were ejected. Survive and you live with the knowledge that you ruined uncountable lives. In a race against time, against your own, what'll happen when 3718 gets a chance to escape it all? TRIGGER WARNING: death, blood, violence, heavy depression and anxiety, suicidal thoughts This book contains characters that are part of the Lgbtq+ community, in particular genderqueer characters, an ace-spec character, and a polyamorous relationship. ❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! I am feedback-friendly and here to learn :)

Aurora Borealis is the most wanted girl in all of Zaria. Her father, Khios Borealis, is the wealthiest man in all of Planet Existence. His wealth is what every living breathing con artist would kidnap - or kill - to get their hands on...and Aurora is his Heiress. Yet even though Aurora's the most wanted girl, she's also the hardest to reach. Guards, all the latest technologies...and Neon Xenon. A most skilled bodyguard and SIG Agent, also on a most wanted list of his own. Of all the Elites wanting to hire him. Aurora isn't sure if Neon's a young man, or actually a Humanoid Robot. He does his job more than extremely well, has more medals than she can count - but she's never seen him eat, sleep, drink, or laugh, and the smiles he gives? Mostly shrewd, and very, very rare. She calls him Robot Boy. His mind resembles a Flatscreen computer. She's never met someone who intrigues - and infuriates her - more. But as sole heir to all her father's riches and assets, Aurora's expected to have an heir of her own, putting her at the top of another list, - one made by nearly all the eligible young Elite bachelors around the planet - and her father's encouraging her to select a suitable match. Which is a problem...since none of them interest her. And it has absolutely nothing to do with Robot Boy. Nothing. She's sure of it. Kind of. Nevertheless, with something sinister going on in the background of her planet... she realizes an enigmatic guard might just be the least of all her problems.
