Life above the waves is never easy. You have wars, bloodshed, poverty, abuse, stealing, crime, all of that abhorrence. But under the sea, there's, freedom. Under the waves, there's a beatific society of people. One that holds more secrets than any other.

The day has come for Mariana, the day where she takes her rightful place among her people. The day where she gets the thing that'll make her a true being, except, she doesn't want it. Except she abhors it to no end and would rather anyone else have it.

However, it's not as it seems for Mariana, and now she not only has to make drastic changes to her life, but in order to survive this new life, she has to make plans, plans that'll cause riffs between her people and others. Especially because there is a secret organization, a deadly one that's hunting her kind, and she has to make those plans, and stick to them.

With the unlikeliest of allies on her side, with truths coming out at every turn, secrets that have been kept for centuries, some for millennia, with the unlikeliest of teams ever, Mariana has to choose, a child of peace, or of war. Because this is only the start of her story, and with it, comes more tales that'll be woven with her's.
