For years Lyric has wondered who her father was. her mother never really told her who he was. She always told her that if she ever did find him, he would protect her. On her death bed, her mother handed her a note that had an address to a bar in a mot so good part of Caldwell.

Aghony has trained hard to become a fighter for their race. He wanted to prove to his parents and his King that he had what it takes to become a Brother. But on his first night on rotation, he comes across a pretrans female with jet black hair and bright green eyes, being attacked by their enemy.

He instantly is drawn to her and wants to protect her. He takes her to Doc Jane to get her wounds looked at, it's there that not only his life changes forever but hers as well.
