Of course there are still demons, but those are being taken care of by the gang. Kagome, as a priestess. Inuyasha, as a half demon. Sango, as a mother as well as a demon slayer. Miroku, as a father and a lecherous monk. Shippo, as a Fox demon in training.
Their bond of friendship is unbreakable, though their lives are more independent then it was before.
With Naraku defeated, they can also relax, somewhat. Nevertheless, this peace will last for many years.
