We were walking along the side of the street. When we heard sirens, we looked behind us and saw four police cars. Through their loud speaker they called out saying "DO NOT MOVE YOU ARE ALL UNDER ARREST! IF YOU TRY TO RUN WE WILL CATCH YOU!" "We'll I do not intend on going jail so..." I heard Jake say as a started running but before he sprinted off he flipped off the officers with both hands high in the sky so the police could see. I smirked as I ran after him with the rest of the group following behind me. I heard car doors slamming so I assumed the cops got out of the car and were now chasing us so I sprinted down the street faster. The next thing I heard was guns going off. You have to be kidding me! I turned around and saw Alejandro turning around. I raised my eyebrows and went to go follow him. He bent down and picked up Rustle who looked like he had passed out. I ran alongside him. “What happened to him?" I asked concerned. "He got shot." Copyright © 2014 Rachael Brundick. All rights reserved

When I first met him, he was feral-like a smart Neanderthal. He blended with the Oregon forest like the predator himself, but at least this one, you could look at. I was just trying to get justice for my friend, chasing a story that felt too important to ignore. But instead of answers, I found Aaron Hallam. I nearly died protecting him in my own home, and when I thought he was gone for good-erased by LT, I threw it all away. Moved back to New York. Tried to start over. Then, just when I thought I'd left it behind, I ended up on a blind date with a predator of a different kind. I almost became another missing girl, trafficked and forgotten. But Aaron-the supposedly dead fugitive-came back like a ghost, slashing the bastard up before he could lay a hand on me. Now I'm stuck with him again. And honestly? I'm good right here.
