“And once someone gets inside, you can eat everything.The person accepts the orange for how it is, based on what’s inside.” He finishes peeling the citrus fruit and breaks it in half, giving me the other half. He then adds, “And I will treat you like an orange, rather than an apple.”

Kat Lyle doesn't believe in love at first sight. You have to get to know someone first, in order to officially love a person. Ryan Robertson, however, believes otherwise. He is a hopeless romantic, and doesn't seem to care about what anyone else thinks. These two meet with a growing fondness towards eachother, although neither have the guts to walk across the street and start a conversation.

But all that changes when Kat's state of mind is being tested against Ryan's mental state.
