The town of Cairnsby is small, where everyone knows everybody else a little too well and the rumor mill is the bread of life. Out in the middle of the Montana wilderness, it is a secluded bubble all on its own. However, a string of animal killings has drawn the attention of the local farmers and ranchers. Vickie Clements, a sheep rancher and part-time pest control expert, attempts to make sense of the situation as she discovers the truth of the matter when she inadvertently apprehends the culprit. All is not as it seems, and Vickie begins a strange adventure through life, death, small-town love and drama, and the meaning of being human.

Rowdy and Bobbi had been drawn to each other since he and Beau had returned from the military. They found peace and solace together, sometimes they thought they had found the missing part of their heart and soul..... They had even begun to plan a future, that they were destined for the alter. Bobbi was currently working on a difficult case which required much of her time and energy. As the case grew more intense, their relationship grew cool and stiff. Neither seemed able to share or put their deep personal issues behind them and felt that God had forgotten them and intended that they both go on alone. As the case unfolds, Bobbi's past abuse threatens to swallow her in memories. Both Bobbi and Rowdy find themselves working along side the FBI and the 3B Ranch to find the man responsible. Can they free themselves from their past and claim a new future? Together can they find their way back to Christ and save the lives of her two nieces who have also gone missing? Can she finally heal and regain the heart of her Rowdy Cowboy?

Sparks fly and horns lock on the Dottie Belle Ranch in Plateau, Arizona! Clint Slade is a well-known hired killer. What he does for a living has never been questioned nor given an explanation. The dime novelists love his work to pen to paper, and young boys see him as the epitome of a heroic lifestyle. He lives a lonely life of solitude as he travels all over the country, and that’s the way he likes it. He doesn’t see the need for other people and his latest job makes him wonder why he even bothers to try to understand them. Bliss Cooper loves her life without the ties of a man or an interest in one. She’s the daughter of a rich ranch owner in Arizona with more than what she needs. Yet when her father becomes overprotective about notes threatening her life, the life she loves so much comes crashing in on her. What seems to her like overkill on her father’s part just might change her life forever. Colt Kidd can't hide it for much longer. Being the foreman of a ranch is a challenge of it's own, but when he starts having complicated feelings about his boss' daughter and long-time best friend, his life gets a whole lot more confusing. He knows that he can't hold a candle to what Bliss really needs, but he would give his whole life to try.
