It's been 2 years since Marinette's death and everyone is back to normal, well excluding the fact that a ray of sunshine is still missing from their lives. Ryuko and Viperion are now leading the Miraculous team against Hawkmoth and Mayura and slowly but surely, Chat can feel his purpose as a wielder fading away. What's the point of a cat without his bug? But everything changes when Talia Al Ghul discovers a body in a river and Marinette discovers that she's no normal human.

Her midnight blue hair caught the attention of a nearby light as it glimmered and sparkled under the light's gaze. She turned around.
Robin stumbled. He'd recognise that arch of barely visible freckles anywhere. And her eyes! The eyes that had always seemed to draw him in and read him from inside-out stared back at him. The glint of recognition on her face was gone so soon that he thought he'd imagined it. The room remained silent until she spoke.

Ladybug and Chat Noir captures Hawkmoth and brings him to the police, in the process they find out his identity. Something in Chat Noir breaks and he goes crazy. Marinette watches as Chat Noir murders her parents and proceeds to de-transform in front of her and confesses his love. Marinette having enough of her class bullying her and taking care of Paris makes a run for it after taking the miraculous box from its hiding place. Kaalki teleports her somewhere and three people find her and take her in. A while later a boy by the name Damian takes an interest in the Parisian girl. In the Heart of Gotham
Marinette's life is left in the hands of a manipulative green eye'd serpent; her friends, her family, and her crush leaving her to deal with it on her own. Not being able to handle the snake without being used by the well-known magical terrorist, she put herself on the back burner and lets her life be decided by her duties as Ladybug. She doesn't let her emotions show, she doesn't even allow herself to feel. Years later, at the age of 17, Hawkmoth is finally defeated but Marinette's heart is hardened, she isn't the same 14 year old hero. She is stronger in every way possible, now that Paris is no longer calling her name she decides to move to a place that is, a place cursed with Plagg's destruction energy. She make's it her job to cleanse the city, to become a hero needed by the everyday city. That city though is already protected by strong and unrelenting hero's and they make it their job to find out who exactly this spotted hero is. She not only has to deal with that, but also a growing friendship and rivalry with a seemingly feared and popular boy in her school. Damian Wayne Al-Ghul, the son of Gotham's most eligible bachelor and richest man, Bruce Wayne. Damian Wayne is described as many things; skillful, smart, terrifying, angry, blunt, dangerous, and so on. He is not a man you approach to make friends with, he is not a man willing to willingly hang out with people, and he is not a man of idle conversation. He doesn't have the time to talk and make friends, after all he is Robin, one of the protectors of Gotham, and a trained assassin. Although, with his families growing concerns on his lack of friends he is forced out of the mantle of Robin. Now he has to make a ' change' he has to make a ' friend' and when a blue-eyed girl- who seems to have no problem making friend's- come into his life he decides that she will be his friend as she seem's to be the only one adequate enough.
Fate or Chance
The sweet irony almost makes Marinette laugh. And to think that the little Parisian had to leave the city of love and reach the city of crime to find true love. Damian, on the other hand, didn't know who to blame. He only knew that he had fallen before the spell of that pair of blue eyes that did not come out of his mind, bringing light to the darkest city in America. Marinette is, despite being hurt, a kind heroine whose soul is as pure as an angel. Damien is generally sullen with everyone. A vigilante who learned what human relationships mean a little late.
