"Hi, I'm autistic."

This is what I always say when I meet someone new. I always want to make sure they know what they're in for. Sensory overload, panic attacks, and a whole lot more. I'm glad that I SOMEHOW still have my friends with me who understand I'm not exactly "normal."

This book is to bring awareness to my community and to share some of my own stories about my neuroatypical experience. Welcome to my life.

Someone Else's Boy - Sebastian.

6 parts Complete Mature

I lived within the pages of books. It wasn't ideal, perhaps even a little unhealthy, but it offered comfort in its predictability. In books, I found worlds where emotions had structure, where endings could be known. Books never surprised me, not like life did. Accepting a job, with a description better suited for a thriller rather than real life, would set off a chain of events that would carry me halfway around the world. I'd laugh harder, cry deeper, and do things I never thought possible. There'd be moments I longed for the quiet, predictable comfort of my books. But that one simple act would be the turning point-the moment that would rewrite my life's story in ways I couldn't yet imagine.
