Moses Whiteford is a sixteen year old boy in a time where everything was crazy for the American people. The American Revolution was on the rise, and the Battle of Lexington and Concord is only a month away. 

Moses was born to a well-to-do family on February 20, 1759 nearby Williamsburg, Virginia. His father a governor, his mother died in 1763 in the birth of his younger brother Noble. His father owns a hundred slaves, twenty in the house, eighty on their 100 acre plantation. 

He becomes an aide-de-camp in the American Revolution to George Washington and he fights by his side until it is over.
