Maeve has escaped across the Deadzone, on the run from the people who have killed the only people she had left. She is alone now, hiding her identity as well as the power that only runs in her bloodline. When the city she was in gets bombed by the Empire, she meets Captain Lucar Rej and his crew, who are part of the United Armies, and ends upon their airship, the Madeline. The war has broken out of a stalemate, and a new powerful airship makes probable an unstoppable Imperial invasion. Follow Maeve as she learns that she may have the only key to winning the war, and as she learns to harness her ever growing power.
