Amelia's life is far from picture perfect, she's been raised by her aunt and uncle since she was 5 years old, she rarely saw her mother and has never known her father. Now it's time for her to find herself in the summer before she leaves for college in the fall, but what she doesn't expect is to find someone like Finn. Finn's life has been the exact opposite of Amelia's. Parents are still married with stable jobs, the eldest of five children. He could have the world if he wanted it, but that was just it, he didn't want the world. On the verge of being completely disowned by his parents, Finn finds exactly what he's looking for in life. They say opposites attract, but when one has a trail of disappointments following her and the other has uncertainty ahead, can the two of them navigate the summer of 2010 together? Or will their differences be the thing to completely destroy the both of them? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Since that summer nothing has ever been the same, relationships were built, torn down than built again."

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
