High school is a drag, most can agree with this opinion. Especially when you can't figure out your changes and why they are needed.
Tom knows this, and so does everyone else at Clearview High School.
New students especially know. The confusion, fear, loneliness. So why is Tom always stuck helping them when he just wants to get out of trouble? Oh right, Matthew. His roommate, and ultimate best friend..until Ell, Edd's cousin, moves into town. She was so bubbly, yet oddly similar to Edd. Maybe she just looked up to him that much.
But how can you express feelings for someone related to one of your best friends, when the anxiety of insecurity is always there? You don't. But you can write about it.
