After the war was over, the wizarding world was trying to rebuild. In order to do so, the Ministry decides to place a new law over the wizarding community mandating that each eligible person is to be paired with their match. They are required to marry their match and be with child by the following December. They are given few options and only one way out of this setup, giving up their magic. Persephone Nott attempts to navigate the law in the most logical way she can, while still pleasing her family.
