This story is highly Caribbean-based. So, you wouldn't see this problem happening a lot in first world countries like the United States or Canada. This is from a West Indian perspective and it shows what some students have to deal with on a regular basis. My original story has Jamaican Creole but I changed this version in order to facilitate those who may not understand the dialect.
The purpose is to highlight the negative impact noise pollution may have on the surroundings. A story entitled 'The Battle', where a brilliant girl, Maria, has to battle loud music in her inner-city community to pass her critical exams (CAPE). The story highlights her anxiety as a result of the excessive music which eventually has an impact on her, however, she manages to endure the predicament and prevails.

This is all written by me. MINE! The pics of landscape are mine the rest I googled. When the female silhouette walked out from the shadows shock and fear rolled off me. It was her, the evil woman from my nightmares! With her walking towards us I could feel how evil she was. That's weird, I can feel her evil, how? When Lachlan called her his beloved my heart shattered. Lachlan and the woman who is Gilda his beloved, locked eyes. A heavy weight seemed like it was crushing me. I was suffocating. I had to get out of there and away from her, from them. Lachlan is a 962 year old vampire that is tired of being alone in a world full of humans. Going to extremes to not be alone. After another failed attempt has him running in frustration where he stumbles on a scent he has to find. He's wishing for death, and having no regard for life when he smells the most wonderful smell. He follows the smell and He finds a 5 year old little girl and he's hungry! And then his heartbeats π for the first time in hundreds of years, since he was turned, why??? Why did the Vampires heartbeat π? He's determined to find out. Ava is a 5 year old little girl living with her grandmother in a small Missouri town. On her way to the pool for her swimming lessons she notices a stranger. Ava being the sweet little girl that she is offers the stranger help. Give it a chance please!!! There are different time periods through out the story and I tried to choose music for those time periods that reflect upon the chapter.
