Kay is an Arctic Snowy Owl. She lives in the forests of alaska, with her mate and yet to hatch eggs. Kay was once human, but she was killed at a young age, barely finding her feet in the world. Her adoptive father, Albatross, has cared for her all her life, telling her that, one day, she would be able to transform from human to animal, just like him. One day, her Ani, the animal that rests inside only a few select humans, would be released. When Kay is ready, she returns to her father, wanting to learn ways to harness her newly found powers. But what will she find when she returns to the nest she has called home for so many years? Who would want to harm her when she is barely developed as an Ani?
