"Dad said I could choose between his or my original last name. But I didn't want to... so I'm Elsie. Just Elsie" King Arthur finds out about Merlin's magic and, torn between friendship and his father's law, banishes him from Camelot. Merlin decides to head home to his mother and Ealdor but finds a young run away girl on his journey there. Taking her under his wing, he becomes a father figure to her as Gaius was to him and a strong bond soon grows between the two. Meanwhile, Arthur is regretting banishing Merlin and is lost without his best friend or a way to make things right again. That's until a young girl rides into Camelot, bruised, broken and desperately seeking help for her village and Dad.
