Buck is a young adventurous firefighter who loves the people in his house like his family, but when the new guy shows up he feels he is being replaced. However the feelings Buck has for Eddie are confusing and not all bad. How will he keep these feeling under control in such a dangerous job? Eddie is an ex military vet, with a son who is full of life. In the light of an accident Eddie begins to notice his heart pulling for Buck. However he is not sure how that will work with his life. Loving Catalina was the easiest thing Eddie Diaz ever had to do. Almost losing her in a car accident became the immediate worst. Catalina loved her husband and son more than anything else in the world. They were all she had left. - Eddie shook his head, "I can't. What if she wakes up and I'm not here? If-" He took a deep breath as he placed his hand on his shoulder where he knew Catalina's forearm was. "If she could wake up once, she could again." His voice was quiet. Catalina hated seeing her husband like this. He had let his beard grow out and his hair was all messed up. He was letting himself go.
