In a time long ago, in a place closer then you think, where magic reined and immortals walked there lived a beautiful queen who could level the earth with just a glance. Lovely and lonely she fell in love with a wandering king of light. Poisoned by darkness to walk the earth as a creature of destruction she roamed only until her true love put her out of her misery. with a mind full of vengeance her love searches for the darkness that tainted her. Thousands of years later he still hunts hoping for the day she may grace the earth again.

Edie has had nightmares all her life. Dreams of horror and bloodshed, the earth shattering before her and a man too beautiful to be hers. On her twentieth birthday she awakens to powers she cant control that seem to destroy everything she touches. Frightened when shadows follow her every move she is trapped by a group who tracked her destructive trail. Only to come across the man she so commonly dreams about.

Was this to avoid death or her lover? She couldn't really say but the only thing was some characters were now different from the initial novel plot especially Derek whom she loved.
