Le continent d'Élednar, après de nombreuses guerres trouve enfin la paix. Les 5 peuples vivants à Élednar s'ouvrent enfin les uns aux autres, quand soudain un Fléau frappe les peuples.
L'origine de ce Fléau ? Nul ne s'en rappelle, car une chose est certaine, il a passé des millénaires à remonter du cœur de la terre jusqu'au peuples.
Et cet Homme étrange que l'on appelle la Lame du Destin ? Il n'appartient à aucun camp, il est seul, avec une épée et une main bandé. Tendant sa lame face au Fléau, comme si il pointait un vieil ennemi.
 
Le prince des Maniens, honte de son père. Inapte, le seul prince depuis des siècles qui ne possède pas le don qui doit lui donner la légitimité du trône. 

Un jeune hybride, dont les lueurs repoussent le Fléau, que les gens poussent à être un héro contre son gré.
