Prologue

The earth used to have inhabitants who had magical abilities. Some could fly, spew out fire from their hands or even create the most powerful earthquakes one could see.
But that was thousands of years ago.
Throughout the years as the population grew, I've seen people born without powers. It started with one child until the majority of the population couldn't manipulate any of the earth's elements. Until the time came where everyone totally lost their abilities.
I was blessed - or cursed with immortality and lived on this planet, changing identities after a few years.
The abilities to make the grounds shake or send out a powerful tsunami to flood the cities were completely forgotten. Everyone then lived their lives how people would do now.
And that was until I met her.

#1 spiritual powers 30/08/22 "......your soul? It's beautiful, unlike the ones I have seen here, it's quite unique" "But surrounded by dark mists, you see if you ask me I think it's really dark inside and it's gradually dying" he replied still looking straight lost in his thoughts as the moon rays continued to embrace his face. For a moment they both said nothing. It looked late, everywhere was cloudy and a gigantic moon covered half of the sky. Everywhere looked empty, dry, imaginary. They were both seated on a bench, One was dashingly handsome with nice features but still looked ordinary. Humanly. But the other one was different, with gigantic white wings covering her back, Beautiful? yes, amazingly beautiful, with her long red hair and beautiful long red gown. But possessed a very powerful dark Aura. "Let me save you" She faced him this time, no longer in her thoughts holding his rough hands gently. "Running to a pretty demon for help.... ehhh I'm not sure about that" he replied jokingly as he couldn't help but caress her soft cheeks. "I don't know if you are here to save me or destroy me, but I will trust you" "I'm not sure about that too Alex, but let's give it a try" He nodded then disappeared into thin air. "Trust?" She couldn't help but mumble to herself, as tears could be seen slowly sliding down her cheeks, And her wings gradually changing to its original color, Black. Then he woke up. It was just a dream. #1 spiritual powers 30/08/22.

"Close your eyes. Now focus on the connection you have with the earth. Feel it flow through you." He takes her hands and raises them, palm side up. "Keep your hands like this, when you get really good you won't need to do this. Now, focus on the element you want to control. Try wind, picture it blowing in your mind through the trees, or the grass." Danya feels energy tingling in her fingers and up her arms throughout her body. She sees the wind blowing in her mind, not through grass or trees, she sees it ruffling Seth's hair, then hers as she stretches and kisses him. She can hear Seth laughing next to her. "Stay focused Danya, but open your eyes." She opens her eyes slowly and sees it, the wind like she pictured it in her mind and she laughs making both of them smile. "Stay on it, don't lose it." "I got this." She closes her eyes again, this time she pictures rain. She sees Seth again, only this time, his hair is dripping and her fingers are wet as they touch his cheek softly. "Danya, follow me..." Her eyes stay closed as she gets up and follows him out of the gazebo and feels the rain on her face. "Open your eyes..." She opens them and sees her vision again, Seth standing in front of her and watching her. His blond hair dripping down his face, and his eyes bright green underneath it. Danya is a special girl with special abilities. abandoned as a newborn on the porch of her adopted parents house. They take her in as their own and raise her as such. until one day she discovers shes not as normal as she had hoped, and a certain boy named Seth helps her learn of her true self. both of them discovering something even more special about each other in the process.

Yet again Darkness is hungry for a war to end it all, but Light will always have troops at the ready. One girl. One kingdom. Eleven friends. Four Elements. No biggie. * I'm Melody, hybrid freak, nice to meet you, strange muggle who I know nothing about. I used to be like you, cluelessly ignorant and uninvolved with the outside world. You know, they have a big, yellow ball of gas in the sky. Weird. Anyway my life became something out of a bad Si-Fi movie, and no, Nicolas Cage isn't in it (sadly). There are two forces in the world, Light and Darkness, and when you side with Light, Darkness gets a stick up its ass and wants you to suffer. My friends and I, we roll with Light, you must know where that leads.... I have a kingdom to learn, powers to master, loud friends to keep in line, a boy that I'm messed up over, and above it all, Darkness to show whose boss. Not as easy as you might think, but this is MY story, and I know how it ends. Being a loyal follower of Light shows me the beauty in life and the devastation it can cause. Don't get me wrong, I love Light, but Darkness makes it hard to stay and fight. * Melody is weird. She's childish. She's awkward. And she's got boy issues she needs to work out. Mel will face evil like no other, but can she do it? Will the scales of Light and Darkness finally be tipped? How can one girl make a difference? This is Melody, a corky teenager, and she wants you to read her story. Like now. Enjoy! Highest rank- #69 in Fantasy (Still cant believe it!!)

"What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.
