Narrates the atypical friendship between a group of boys at Ridgewood. 

After being sent to England and having heard news of his brothers death, Thomas suffers through severe mental instability. His mind becomes a compilation of philosophical ideologies not to mention the illusion of him seeing and communicating with his deceased brother. Thomas finds comfort in substance, believing this to be the only way to tolerate his ongoing life. 

He had never expected his injudicious decisions would have such a great impact on himself and those around him.
