Irene Poole had been coming home after a long day of Med School, when the Prime Minister of Great Britian's sorrow speech rang through the air of her home. Not minutes after the speech, Nazi Air Raiders had dropped bombs all over the town, killing her parents and knocking her out.
Meredith Poole-Rake lived in the 21st Century; she also happened to hate her life. Her job, her trashy apartment, her family, everything about her life was dreadful. She had already had a terrible day, getting a speeding ticket and screamed at by her boss, when she fell through the flooring of her run-down apartment. She completely blacked out. When Irene woke up, she was not in a 20th Century hospital, she was in a modern, and might she add, luxurious 21rst centrury hospital. When Meredith woke up, she had amnesia. Not to add to the fact that she was in a 20th century makeshift hospital. With Irene knowing that she wasn't meant to be in this era, and with Meredith oblivious to it all, and having to experience what her grandmother went through during World War 2, would Irene ever be able to find the both of them a way out?
