Set after the events of Chain of Gold. Cordelia Carstairs, now an engaged woman, tries to navigate her way through a life that has drastically changed. James Herondale, now an engaged man, grapples with his family heritage and feelings for a girl who is as cold as ice. Matthew Fairchild, struggling with his own guilt, realizes that he has more desires than just drinking. A certain desire that no one must know - especially James. Lucie Herondale, fascinated by a certain ghost boy, feels compelled to do something that will result in breaking the Clave law. Emotions and danger run wild as the evil that Cordelia, James, Matthew and Lucie thought was gone, never really was. Now, they must defeat it while grappling with their own personal issues and emotions. Will they be able to save London? Or will their own personal feelings and fears ruin their chance? * * * Please only read this if you have already read Chain of Gold as there will be many spoilers. All rights go to Cassandra Clare :)

Tessa, Will, and Jem's generation is over. Now it is time for their children to take the spotlight. The ever delightful Matthew Fairchild. The dreamer Lucie Herondale. The bookworm James Herondale. And finally, the sassy Cordelia Carstairs. Follow these four characters-and a few others-as they go through many of the ups and downs, that life will bring them. THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS! So only read it if you have read Clockwork Princess. I would recommend reading TMI meets TID 3 before reading this story, because it will make a lot more sense. Finally, all rights go to Cassandra Clare :)
