"Today is my 18th birthday. Hopefully I'll get to meet my mate and live happily ever after!" I remember saying those words to my mom right before my birthday party. My heart pumped wildly in anticipation.
Turns out my mate was at the party only he was oblivious to me. That usually happens when you are still a kid. My mate was non other than future pack Alpha Jarred War currently in the puberty stage of life.
At first I was in shock, as years I learned to be around him making my wolf happy and giving him the space to grow. But now, Jarred wasn't a little boy anymore and I had held my secret well. In 6 months he will be of age, he will know who I am to him and hopefully accept me, maybe even want me. I'm scared I'm too old for him, or I wont live up to his expectations. Like I said, Jarred is no longer a little boy, doesn't act like one, and doesn't look like one. I'm not the only one who has noticed.
