"As the nights drag on, and your presence no longer fills this room, I listen to you play over and over again. The quiet melody coming from your piano, our piano, travels through the empty halls of my apartment. It has mixed itself with the soft greeting of winter against the windows. You always liked the way snow draped itself over the ground, bringing the clouds down to us. But now the clouds are gone and they have taken the ground with it. And I can't help it but I am waiting for spring to come, expecting for it to bring you home."
"It took you awhile today to finally get out of my car. Night fell upon us quicker than we would have liked, but we loved it all the same. You wanted me to play my favorite songs on repeat until your ears would bleed. They never did and I think we both knew they never would. If there's a next time, I promise to play our song.
