When I first discovered I had powers, I couldn't believe it.
Superpowers are something that every little kid dreams of having, but we grow out of that we as we get older.
Now that I have them, I realize that they're more of a burden than a blessing, and the problems that having powers bring with it might just be too much to deal with.

Don't Blink
When someone comes up to you and warns about, "Life is too short", well that's exactly what they mean. In a blink of an eye everything you know, everyone you love, reality of the world changes; leaving no space or time to fix it. Realization hits us all during our most precious breaking moments. The strong willed always lasts a little longer than the rest of us. Showing us what true strength and power really can achieve. Golden Eyes
Think just for a sec... look at the person you know is the most useless out of you all. What do you think they will be when they get older. The typical crappy jobs no one wants but than there's those people who really think thing through. Who knew that kid might come and save your life, maybe even save the world. Well that's where I come in, I'm the one you hated, the useless one in your group, wait and see. I'll be the one who can do the things no one else can do, even more things that aren't even possible. Stronger than 1 but she doesn't turn into a giant monkey. She has better accuracy than 2.... Somehow.... But her weapon of choice would've bee a bow and arrow. She has 3's same power but she doesn't like to use it except to get what she wants and her sister's doesn't work on her. She can transform like 6 could. She can see him like 4. The only other one that can. He was always afraid of his power drowns it out by getting high. But they were kind of her only friends minus her brother and their more dangerous sister. 5 and her liked to race each other the only difference is, is that as smart as he is she's a better jumper. But she has the most in common with 7. They're both seen as too dangerous and her powers like her sister's are awaken and work because of their emotions. She's more dangerous though because she can mirror her siblings powers. She trained herself her dad never cared about her. He always cared about his non biological children more. And he only cared enough about them to train them but he didn't care about any of them. She was born the same day they were and the same age. She wasn't born the same way though. It was more like a science experiment. He gave a serum to get the one person he trusted to have her and made it timed to the day. Maybe that's why she has their same powers or why she's more dangerous. The only thing that ever worked on her was.... I'll tell you later. But none of them remember she has powers.Completa
No Superheroes Allowed
Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime as only increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. Legacy
Book 1 of the Legends Never Die series. Legend. A program designed by five previous agencies, who had banded together to create an all powerful team of agents. So, there's this guy who keeps on going after me. Its sort of all my fault. Why do I have to be so lazy. My name is Emily. And I now have a team made up of two great friends, one mentor, three crushes, many drama, AND two people with what you call "superpowers". I have all of that and even more, but with only three girls and three boys in the team. we also have this crazy lunatic after my new powers.
