Ardamin Tales: Number 3 - Viridian.
A seven year old girl trying to survive the zombie apocalypse in a fairly small city in rural New Mexico. This is the third in my short story series taken from the universe created for my first book. Ardamin: Clone #7. These short stories are more horror focused than the main book. But how can you tell the story of a zombie apocalypse without some horror? This story is unedited and first draft as keeping with my first two short stories posted to Instagram and therefore will not be polished or fixed with multiple drafts leading to an end product. This story was meant to be raw or just as it poured from my head. The Cure
The outbreak happened so fast. Maggie wasn't given the chance to find out what was written inside the diary. It was given to her by a man who claimed to be someone who knew who her mom was. The whole town was evacuated to a safer place. The government was trying to control the people in order to prevent them to panic. Just then, while Maggie and her dad was on the way to a safer place, they were attacked by a bunch of flesh eating people. They happened to kill and eat Maggie's dad and left her alone inside a car surrounded by flesh eating people. Maggie called Jerry, her best friend, for help. And there he was, a Knight in shining armor ready to save his damsel in distress, wishing that all of this is just a sort of fairy tale rather than a perilous nightmare.Complete

No one saw it coming. No one could have guessed that the vaccine that was supposed to save lives, would take them instead. Once the death toll started to climb, it took less than a day for the world to change forever. When Bri's roommate suddenly develops a taste for cannibalism, she finds herself trapped in her upstairs bathroom, unable to comprehend the horrors that she sees through the small window. That limited view of the outside world doesn't begin to show Bri just how much danger she's going to be in when she finally escapes her home. Running for her life, Bri won't be alone for long. With the help of a bat wielding stranger, she barely escapes the overrun city. Together, they just might survive long enough to find a safe haven. The zombie apocalypse is a strange time to be alive. The dead walk, and eat the living, but they're not the most dangerous thing this new world has to offer. There are other survivors out there. And not all of them can be trusted.
