Whimpers

[Edit: I didn't make it clear enough that this is a werewolf story. It only picks up as such at about the fifth chapter, when you start to realize it though.] 17 year old Junior Kaelan has lived in fear of his abusive mother since the day when his parents were devorced. Despite being abusive, and the suggestions of Child Protection Services, Kaelan has been returned to his mother even after he has run away several times. His kind hearted father had gone bankrupt from the cost of trying to get him away from her, but neither of their efforts have been to any avail. Then comes along Freya. She's spunky, light-hearted, determined, and seems stronger than she should be. Freya insists that she become his friend, and is surprisingly clingy to the point that she discoveres what his mother does to him. The only question is, will Freya be able to save him from his mother? Or will nothing change at all?
