Lyza isn't a Jedi, not anymore, not since her friend slaughtered her fellow padawans and her old master fled to an unknown location to die. She is simply a woman who wants to feel while staying well within the light and a valuable resistance fighter.
All of this changes when a young boy with a strong sense for the force is rescued by the resistance. Lyza goes on a journey with the best damn pilot in the resistance to train the boy to understand the force.
Along the way, realizes who she is and that maybe, she's not the only force sensitive being entrusted with keeping the peace.

"When I offer you my hand again, you'll take it." What if Kylo Ren had been right? What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar.
